“In the midst of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.” Albert Camus

Even though I’ve been out of school myself for many, many moons, the fact that I am a university instructor means that my years continue to begin in September and end in June (with a few months of limbo in between). Despite that fact, I refuse to relinquish summer on the Tuesday after Labor Day weekend. After all, the Autumnal Equinox isn’t until September 23 this year (in the Northern Hemisphere, natch), not to mention the glories of “Indian Summer” in New England.
